OceanLand Investments has put forth a proposal for Brightline Residences, an apartment complex in Fort Lauderdale.
The project aims to have a covered walkway connecting it to the adjacent Brightline passenger rail station. The city's Development Review Committee will review the plans, which involve a 40-story building spanning 609,381 square feet. Brightline Residences would offer 392 residential units, 5,986 square feet of commercial space, 2,888 square feet of restaurant space, and 493 parking spaces.
Amenities would include a pool deck on the 10th floor, along with additional features such as pools, hot and cold plunge pools, and a fitness center. The apartments will range from 566 to 1,355 square feet, with 60 studios, 180 one-bedroom units, and 152 two-bedroom units. The development's prime feature is its direct connection to the Brightline, allowing residents to conveniently access the rail station via a covered walkway. The Brightline rail network connects several cities in Florida, with future expansion plans to include an Orlando station. The design of the project was created by FSMY Architects + Planners, with local attorney Courtney Crush representing the developer in the application process.
