A striking new 81-story mixed-use tower is in the works for 1414 Brickell, with a zoning application recently submitted to Miami-Dade County. Set to soar 1,010 feet, the proposed skyscraper would redefine the Brickell skyline, introducing a blend of 560 luxury residences, 84 upscale hotel rooms, 145,950 square feet of premium office space, and 6,038 square feet of high-end retail. At its base, an 11-story podium will house 1,226 parking spaces.

The acclaimed Miami-based firm, Arquitectonica is bringing its signature design expertise to the project, setting the stage for another transformative addition to Miami’s ever-evolving skyline.
Filed on February 20, the application falls under Miami-Dade’s Rapid Transit Zoning (RTZ), shifting oversight from the city to the county and allowing for greater development flexibility. Helming the development is 1414 Brickell, LLC, with Walter Defortuna among the notable stakeholders

This application appears timely with Miami hosting the Future Investment Initiative (FII) PRIORITY Summit at the Faena Hotel & Forum in Miami Beach last week. This event, organized by Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund, attracted a diverse group of global leaders, investors, and policymakers. U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the strengthening economic ties between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia.
The summit focused on strategic investments in innovation and sustainability to address global challenges. The presence of high-profile attendees like Stephen Ross, Ken Griffin, Barry Sternlicht, and Jared Kushner, underscored Miami's growing significance as a nexus for international business and investment.
