Updated: Jan 24

New York’s skyline is getting a towering new addition, as Rabina, the family-owned real estate development firm, proudly announced the topping off of 520 Fifth Avenue on October 24. Now reaching its full height of 1,002 feet, this landmark achievement for the highly anticipated project sets the stage for its completion in 2025. Once finished, 520 Fifth Avenue will claim the title as the tallest mixed-use building on Fifth Avenue, reshaping Midtown and adding a modern marvel to New York’s storied cityscape.

“This milestone is a remarkable achievement, not only for our team but for all the skilled and dedicated people involved—and, we hope, for New York City itself,” said Josh Rabina, President and CEO of Rabina. “This tower will be a new emblem of Midtown’s continuous evolution, embracing its heritage while setting a new standard for how we live, work, and enjoy life in one of the world’s most vibrant neighborhoods.”

Ralph Esposito, National President of Suffolk, the project's contractor, shared similar enthusiasm. "Reaching this milestone for 520 Fifth Avenue truly reflects Rabina’s vision and the dedication of our team and partners,” Esposito noted. “The comprehensive planning, close collaboration, and cutting-edge technology we used at every step enabled us to manage this complex project safely and efficiently. We look forward to bringing this vision to life and adding a distinctive piece to New York’s iconic skyline.”

From excavating 80 feet deep into Manhattan bedrock to the final topping out, Suffolk’s advanced data analytics and innovative construction practices have showcased an unwavering commitment to quality. Ian Klein, Rabina’s Senior Vice President of Development, emphasized, “Creating a building of this architectural caliber takes incredible effort, from design to execution. Each phase of this journey is a testament to the creativity, dedication, and precision our team has brought to this project.”

Positioned at Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street, just above Bryant Park and close to Grand Central, 520 Fifth Avenue was designed by the renowned architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF). Blending modern luxury with historical charm, the building’s tiered setbacks, grand arched windows, and high-end materials like terra cotta and enameled metal capture the essence of classic New York architecture with a fresh, contemporary twist. This design, according to KPF President James von Klemperer, is a modern reimagining of Midtown’s famous “stepping” towers—a signature architectural style dating back to New York’s 1916 zoning laws.

With 88 floors, 520 Fifth Avenue will offer a mix of luxury residences, exclusive full-floor office spaces, and the new Moss members’ club, which will provide high-end amenities, including wellness and recreation. Interior design by AD100 firm Charles & Co infuses sophistication with modern refinement across its 100 residences, which have been enthusiastically received, with 70% already sold. Each unit offers sweeping views of iconic landmarks like Bryant Park and Central Park and features high ceilings, spacious layouts, and top-tier finishes.

The tower’s office spaces span 25 full floors, each boasting private terraces, tall ceilings, and arched operable windows for natural light and ventilation, creating an elegant yet functional workspace for New York’s modern professionals. These exclusive offices range from 6,500 to 12,000 square feet and offer a workplace environment that balances architectural beauty with practicality.

With its Midtown address, 520 Fifth Avenue brings its residents and tenants close to New York’s finest: Fifth Avenue shopping, the vibrant Theater District, and world-renowned dining and cultural landmarks. Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is overseeing sales for the residences, while JLL manages leasing for the commercial spaces. An adjacent sales and leasing gallery offers a preview of the luxury lifestyle awaiting at 520 Fifth Avenue. For more information or to arrange an appointment, visit 520Fifth.com
