A new mixed-use waterfront destination, Rock Harbor Marina, is coming to the Cumberland River

Nashville's waterfront is set to undergo a significant transformation. The Metropolitan Planning Commission has unanimously approved a rezoning plan for Rock Harbor Marina, paving the way for a vibrant waterfront mixed-use development.

The development aims to create a dynamic space for the community to gather, boat, dine, and eventually live. By offering a variety of amenities, including biking trails, walking paths, and recreational activities, the owners hope to revitalize the Cumberland River as a distinct destination for families and individuals alike.

While the iconic Blue Moon Waterfront Grille will remain a cherished part of the marina, the redevelopment plans include a significant expansion of services. Within the next year, visitors can expect to enjoy boat, kayak, and jet ski rentals, as well as a wider range of commercial spaces, restaurants, and retail options.

The goal is to make the Cumberland River more accessible to the Nashville community and foster a deeper appreciation for its natural beauty and recreational opportunities.

The rezoning plan, shaped through extensive community engagement, includes a mix of retail, residential, and leisure opportunities. Over 100 meetings with residents and stakeholders have helped to refine the vision for the development.
