Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale has undergone a remarkable $1 billion transformation, unveiling a luxurious 32-acre waterfront destination that seamlessly blends its storied past with modern elegance.
This revitalization introduces a 325-room resort, a world-class superyacht marina, exclusive residences, twelve restaurants and lounges, and a vibrant marina promenade featuring a curated mix of restaurants, retailers, and offices.
Yesterday, the legendary Pier Sixty-Six celebrated the official grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony, reinvigorating the city’s beloved social harbor along 32 acres of the Intracoastal Waterway. The fulfillment of a long-held vision of Tavistock Group and CoralTree Hospitality, Pier Sixty-Six seamlessly connects the past, present, and future with the unveiling of direct access to an expansive resort destination, waterfront promenade and a dynamic array of restaurants and experiences.
"For years, we have placed great effort into preserving the property’s rich history while crafting a destination that seamlessly merges the charm of the past with the promise of the future.” says Colm O’Callaghan, Vice President and Managing Director, Pier Sixty-Six.
As part of this exciting redevelopment, Pier Sixty-Six has launched its first few fine-dining establishments, Calusso and Sotogrande.
Calusso offers a refined dining experience inspired by the French and Italian Rivieras. The menu features tableside presentations of premium seafood, handcrafted pastas, and succulent meats, all prepared with South Florida's fresh ingredients. The elegant décor and marina views create a sophisticated atmosphere for guests.
Sotogrande brings the bold, vibrant flavors of Southern Spain and the Eastern Mediterranean to Fort Lauderdale. With shareable plates, large communal tables, and a lively social atmosphere, it captures the essence of a perfect coastal meal. The bright, inviting spaces are designed to enhance the dining experience.
Pier Sixty-Six also launched some resort casual food spots.
For those seeking a more intimate yet equally chic gathering place, Windows on 66 is a light-filled lounge that is now open offering a curated selection of vodkas and gins from around the world, paired with shareable bar snacks in a convivial, stylish atmosphere that’s perfect for meeting friends or making new ones.
Saltbreeze, a Latin-inspired café at the resort pool, offers a relaxing indoor and outdoor space to enjoy refreshing cocktails and flavorful dishes. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or taking a break from sunbathing, this eatery is the perfect escape.
Elate Market Café, now open in the resort lobby, is the destination for your everyday premium tea, coffee, and grab-and-go breakfast options, including fresh-baked pastries and elevated breakfast sandwiches. Whether you’re fueling up for a day of exploration or simply indulging in a leisurely morning, Elate offers convenience and quality in one vibrant setting.
Calusso and Sotogrande, however, mark the beginning of a culinary journey at Pier Sixty-Six, with plans to introduce an additional four dining venues throughout the year, further enriching Fort Lauderdale's vibrant food scene.
The iconic and world-famous Pier Top is set to reopen in March, promising a cocktail experience like no other. Situated on the 17th floor of the resort’s iconic tower, this revolving lounge offers 360-degree views of Fort Lauderdale’s skyline and oceanfront. Guests will enjoy champagne and caviar service alongside signature cocktails in a setting that’s as breathtaking as the views.
The Nectar Room, opening in February, promises a stylish adult-only poolside bar and lounge experience like no other. Located near the resort’s adult pool, this chic destination will serve handcrafted tropical cocktails, sushi, and Asian-inspired bites, with live music and DJ sets to keep the energy high.
Home to one of the largest resort event spaces in Fort Lauderdale and one of the few destinations in Broward County, Pier Sixty-Six features more than 40,000 square feet of new indoor and outdoor venue selections. As they plan their visits, guests can also get a glimpse at the forthcoming Zenova Spa & Wellness, a 13,000 square feet haven that upon opening in February will be comprised of a serene relaxation sanctuary with high-tech specialty rooms, couples rooms, a VIP suite, body treatment rooms with private showers and a sequence of spaces dedicated to the spa’s signature thermal journey featuring first-of-its-kind amenities like the region's first authentic Snow Room and Southeast’s first Ceremonial Sauna.
With twelve restaurants and lounges planned, Pier Sixty-Six is set to redefine Fort Lauderdale’s luxury dining and hospitality scene, solidifying its status as the ultimate waterfront destination.
