Aston Martin Residences, a 69-story waterfront tower standing 817 feet above the Miami River, sells its final sky penthouse, with the building nearing completion

The Aston Martin Residences, a 69-story tower in downtown Miami, epitomizes luxury waterfront living, stretching 817 feet above the Miami River and Biscayne Bay with its sail-like silhouette of glass, steel, and concrete. This 1.6-million-square-foot structure required innovative engineering solutions due to Miami's challenging geological conditions, involving a collaborative effort between structural engineers, architects, and subcontractors to address these demands with groundbreaking concrete and foundation designs.

Constructed on a tight site, the building incorporates three interior cores, enabling it to reach its impressive height with a design that integrates three towers in one. The structural ingenuity includes a stacked belt truss and shear walls supported by super columns and a robust foundation system capable of withstanding hurricane-force winds. The foundation features a series of 573 piles and a significant mat foundation, reflecting a pioneering approach to Miami's unique subsurface conditions.

With 391 luxury condominiums, the tower boasts a range of amenities and a 552-space parking garage enhanced by 16 parking lifts. The distinctive design required sloped concrete columns and advanced construction techniques to support its ambitious cantilevers and curving profile, ensuring that no two floors are exactly alike. This complexity was managed through effective collaboration and cutting-edge concrete technology, culminating in a structure that not only meets but exceeds the architectural vision.

Recently, the Sky Penthouse, a beacon of opulence within the Aston Martin Residences, found its owner as the building approaches completion. This ultimate expression of luxury, represented by David Rocca of Ancona Real Estate, spans 9,573 square feet across four bedrooms and seven baths, with additional lavish features including a private indoor pool and expansive outdoor terraces, totaling 12,897 square feet of living space. Each penthouse resident will receive a bespoke Aston Martin Miami Riverwalk Edition DBX, adding an exclusive touch to the prestigious acquisition.

G&G Business Developments' Aston Martin Residences Miami, located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way, broke ground in October 2017 and is now a defining feature of the Miami skyline. Offering a range of one to five-bedroom residences, the development promises 42,275 square feet of sky amenities, including a fitness center with ocean views, infinity pool, and a full-service spa, among others, redefining the standard for luxury living in downtown Miami.
