Del Taco expands into Southeast Florida this month, with 44 locations planned across the state

Del Taco, the fast-food chain recognized as the # 1 Fast Food Brand by USA Today in 2024, is making a bold move into Southeast Florida with an ambitious expansion plan. Following a series of new franchise agreements, Del Taco is set to bring its popular menu of tacos, burritos, and more to several key markets across the state.

The expansion kicks off with the opening of Del Taco’s southernmost location to date in Port St. Lucie (PSL) on February 26, 2025. This milestone marks the first of several locations planned for Southeast Florida, with additional restaurants already in the pipeline.

Following the PSL debut, Del Taco will continue its rollout in Southeast Florida with two more locations:

  • Stuart (opening in 2026)

  • West Palm Beach (opening in 2026)

These locations are part of a larger plan to establish a total of 11 restaurants from St. Lucie County through Broward County over the next five years, with over 44 new units across Florida with a focus on key markets like Orlando, Palm Beach, Tampa, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville

Since the start of FY21, Del Taco has signed agreements for a total of 303 new restaurants across the U.S., with Florida and the Southeast named as priority markets. The timeline allows for essential steps such as site procurement, zoning approvals, permitting, and construction. In addition to Florida, Del Taco is expanding across the Southeast with new franchise deals in North and South Carolina and the recent opening of their first unit in Virginia.
