Dubai’s Samana Developers has introduced SAMANA Ocean Views, an exclusive $600 million resort in the Maldives, marking its first branded hospitality project in partnership with luxury fashion house Elie Saab. The development will feature 190 keys, including overwater villas and pool apartments, with interiors crafted by the renowned Lebanese design house known for dressing royalty and celebrities.
Positioned along pristine Maldivian waters, the resort’s real estate offerings include beachfront villas starting at $3 million and pool apartments from $2.3 million. Nightly rates for guests will range from $1,000 to $8,000.
The resort will feature three signature restaurants, including Japanese and Arabic specialty dining, alongside an 18,000-square-foot daycare facility, a spa, multiple pools, and water sports amenities. Sustainability is central to the project, with coral restoration initiatives and engineering measures to protect the marine ecosystem.
Set for completion in early 2029, this marks Elie Saab’s first foray into luxury resort developments. "We receive more than 100 requests annually for branded projects, and we only select two or three," noted Elie Saab Jr., emphasizing the exclusivity of the partnership.
Located just 20 minutes by speedboat from Hanimaadhoo Airport, the resort is positioned to benefit from the Maldives' expanding tourism infrastructure, including a new terminal that will double visitor capacity to 4 million annually.
Sales for the pool apartments have already begun, while the ultra-exclusive beachfront and water villas will be available by invitation only after Ramadan in April 2024.
