Eric Church, in collaboration with Ben Weprin of AJ Capital Partners, is set to launch Chief’s, a new six-story honky-tonk on Lower Broadway, on April 5. This 19,350-square-foot venue will feature a live music space called “The Neon Steeple” and a rooftop restaurant by Rodney Scott, a James Beard Award-winning chef. The venue will display over 3,000 of Church’s concert posters on the ground floor. To celebrate the opening, Church will host a unique 19-show "To Beat The Devil" residency at The Neon Steeple, promising exclusive performances available only at Chief’s. Tickets, priced between $99 and $499, will first be available to "Church Choir" members starting March 20.
AJ Capital Partners acquired the property at 200 Broadway for $24.5 million in October 2021, transforming it into Chief’s, a multi-level bar, restaurant, and music venue that embodies Church’s musical journey. Besides live performances, Chief’s will feature Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ on its rooftop, along with a studio for live broadcasts, including Church’s Outsiders Radio on SiriusXM. The venue aims to provide a unique entertainment experience in downtown Nashville, located at the corner of 2nd Avenue and Broadway.
In an innovative move, Church has offered his fans, known as the Church Choir, digital and physical stakes in Chief’s by gifting deeds to bricks in the building and providing digital collectibles that offer exclusive content and perks, including unheard demos and unreleased footage. The initiative also includes giveaways like signed guitars, vinyl records, and SiriusXM subscriptions, further engaging fans in Church’s community. The "To Beat The Devil" residency dates span from the grand opening on April 5 through June 9, with performances designed to showcase Church’s unique approach to music and fan engagement in the heart of Nashville.
