Palm Beach County is set to welcome a new upscale Southern Mediterranean restaurant, Ara, opening early next year at 1406 Cypress Drive in Jupiter. The 3,760-square-foot establishment, capable of hosting around 125 guests, is the brainchild of Steven Fondu, a Jupiter-based restaurateur with a background in bar and restaurant management.
Anna Woodman Interior Design, a firm with a history of working on prominent Palm Beach County restaurants, has been commissioned to design Ara. The design approach, inspired by the dual meanings of 'Ara' in Armenian and Arabic – signifying 'king' and 'brings rain' – incorporates a blend of wood and metal elements to evoke a sense of elegant royalty intertwined with the natural world.
At the helm of Ara's culinary team is executive chef Kayla Casale, whose impressive resume includes stints at The French Laundry, a three-Michelin-star restaurant in California, and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Las Vegas. Fondu emphasizes that Ara will embody the essence of family, focusing on creating a warm, inviting atmosphere where guests feel exceptionally cared for, enhancing their dining experience.
Unique to Ara will be a chef's table offering a live view of the cooking process, and a central bar featuring a distinct ceiling design. With this combination of thoughtful interior design and culinary expertise, Ara is poised to become a notable destination for sophisticated dining in Jupiter. Anna Woodman Interior Design, established in 2003, is known for its work with Stage Kitchen & Bar and Ela Curry Kitchen, further solidifying its reputation in the realm of upscale restaurant design.
