Highland Park, a billion-dollar mixed-use development could break ground next year

Slated for approval in Miami-Dade County, Highland Park Miami is a billion-dollar mixed-use proposal that aims to bring a transformative change to the local landscape. If approved, the venture is poised to feature 1,000 residential units, 150 hotel rooms, and 500,000 square feet of medical office space. The ambitious project has been under consideration for its location at 800 N.W. 14th Street, Miami, Florida, 33034, and could break ground as early as next year or possibly in 2025.

With a master plan crafted by Miami-based firm Arquitectonica, Highland Park Miami also involves the expertise of Oppenheim Architecture for its residential elements and Naturalficial for landscape architecture. The collaborative effort aims to erect a multi-building complex, with the tallest tower projected to reach 22 stories above grade.

Owned by Black Salmon and developed in conjunction with Allen Morris Co., the project has already acquired seven acres situated a mere 400 feet from the Culmer Metrorail Station. This proximity could potentially allow the project to receive approval under the city's transit development regulations. Google Earth renderings indicate that most of this seven-acre area currently remains undeveloped.

Among the project's objectives are the provision of diverse housing options and the expansion of medical care services to the region. If all goes according to plan, the development is expected to break ground within the next two years.
