Laurel, a new 21-story apartment tower begins leasing at The Square in West Palm Beach, offering residents luxury amenities a few blocks from Brightline station

The Laurel, a luxurious new addition to West Palm's skyline, is opening its doors, starting leasing for its 21-story tower built on the site of the former Macy's at 575 Rosemary Ave. Offering a range of apartments from $3,400 monthly studios to $20,000 three-bedroom units, The Laurel is set apart by its premium amenities. These include Bosch appliances, resort-style pools, and extensive fitness facilities like an outdoor fitness pavilion and a Pilates studio, aiming to redefine luxury living in Florida.

Despite a legal challenge from LA Fitness concerning exclusive rights to fitness facilities within The Square, where The Laurel is located, the development team is moving forward. LA Fitness's lawsuit argues that The Laurel's comprehensive fitness amenities infringe on their exclusive rights to operate fitness services in the area. However, Related Cos., the developer behind The Laurel, counters that these amenities are intended for residents, not commercial operations, emphasizing their role in enhancing the living experience rather than competing with LA Fitness.

The Laurel is part of Related's broader vision for West Palm Beach, attracting professionals and those seeking the flexibility of high-end rentals without the commitment of ownership. The apartments promise stunning views, with design features aimed at blending luxury with convenience, including men's and women's spas, an outdoor bar and grill, and rentable guest suites by Restoration Hardware.

This development is just one element of Related's investment in West Palm Beach, alongside other residential projects like South Flagler House and Shorecrest condo. As the legal proceedings with LA Fitness continue, The Laurel aims to become a landmark of upscale urban living, offering a unique blend of comfort, style, and community amenities with plans to start welcoming guests in May.
