The Cabi Aventura Hotel, also recognized as Aventura Corporate Center, has submitted an application to the municipal authorities pertaining to the 1.45-acre plot located at 2777 N.E. 185th St. The property was acquired by the developer for $5.77 million back in 2007. It is situated behind the Walgreens and Wild Fork Food stores.

In the course of time, Miami-based Cabi Developers presented several proposals for the site, including a hotel proposition in 2015, followed by an office building idea. However, no actual development materialized.

Presently, Cabi Developers intends to amend the development blueprint for a retail and dining establishment that incorporates both indoor and outdoor seating areas. The preliminary site design by Miami-based Arquitectonica showcases numerous restaurant spaces encompassing a total of 14,091 square feet of indoor area on the ground level, with supplementary space on the second and third floors. Additionally, there are plans for a compact parking structure and a drop-off zone.

The developer would necessitate approval from the city to lessen the distance between the building and the street.

Legal representative Brian S. Adler, situated in Miami and acting on behalf of the developer in this application, mentioned that the proposed food hall, named L'Isola, would showcase a range of handpicked restaurants and vendors offering diverse selections of international cuisine. This includes a rooftop restaurant and a cocktail lounge. The anticipated dimensions encompass 19,200 square feet of indoor space, alongside open-air and rooftop dining sections.

"Both in terms of appearance and functionality, the sophisticated establishment is meticulously fashioned to harmonize with the neighboring community. It boasts an open and breezy layout, creating an inviting and aesthetically pleasing ambiance, and ensuring seamless movement for visitors amidst the various vendor areas and seating zones," Adler elucidated. "Harnessing the rapid expansion and progress of Aventura, the food hall aims to cater to a broad spectrum of local residents and visitors."

Aventura holds the distinction as a prominent hub for shopping and dining, including the well-known Aventura Mall. The city welcomed a Brightline passenger rail station last year.
