The Miami Downtown Development Authority (Miami DDA) has partnered with Freebee, a rideshare service, to introduce a new, complimentary, all-electric transit service in Miami’s central business district. Launched on November 27, this fixed-route service is designed to improve downtown accessibility for residents, workers, and tourists. It encourages the use of parking garages along the route, facilitating visits to key downtown destinations. The circulator loop includes stops at prominent places such as the Kaseya Center, Miami Worldcenter, the Miami-Dade Government Center, Brightline MiamiCentral station, and four Metromover stations.
City of Miami Commissioner Manolo Reyes, also the chairman of the Miami DDA board, highlighted the initiative as a response to the growing transit needs of Downtown Miami. The service aims to strengthen connectivity between frequently visited downtown areas, making commuting more efficient. Freebee’s shuttles, recognizable by the Miami DDA logo, will run continuously on the route, offering flexible options for passengers to hail a vehicle, use the Ride Freebee mobile app, or board at designated stops.
The service schedule is:
Monday to Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
