Nashville is set to welcome its first Chinatown in Antioch, inspired by the Chinatowns in cities like San Francisco, New York, and Chicago.
Local investors and developers, in collaboration with global partners, are spearheading the Tennessee Nashville Chinatown project. This ambitious venture aims to feature a large Asian supermarket surrounded by authentic restaurants and shops, all showcasing modern Chinese architecture.
The project’s first phase is scheduled to open next year, with the entire 100,000-square-foot development expected to be completed by 2027.
Key to the development will be a 44,000-square-foot Pan-Asia Supermarket, set to open in 2025 within the existing structure on the site. Plans also include constructing about ten restaurants, retail stores, and an events center around the supermarket along Interstate 24 at 5255 Hickory Hollow Parkway.
The development is expected to create around 300 construction jobs and up to 500 full- and part-time positions once completed, according to the project's website.
