At a groundbreaking event on Wednesday, Southwest Value Partners introduced the final plans for Ascension Saint Thomas Landing, a 1.31-acre pedestrian park nestled within the 19-acre development in downtown Nashville.
“There are many layers and exciting things unfolding across the 19-acre campus of Nashville Yards, but our favorite feature is the green space that will extend from Broadway all the way up to the Pinnacle tower. It will include a waterfall and a monumental staircase," said Charles Robert Bone, managing director of Southwest Value Partners, during the event.
The plaza will host food trucks, pop-up retail, urban farming, and various community events. Union Station hotel will provide access to the plaza, which will feature pickleball courts and seating under the Broadway bridge.
Central to the outdoor space will be a multilevel dog park and amphitheater, with surrounding food trucks, seating, and retail spaces. Renovations to Union Station are also planned, which will include a stage, bar, flexible event area, and a grove terrace.

In 2022, Nashville Yards and AEG announced a partnership with Ascension Saint Thomas.
Fahad Tahir, CEO of Ascension Saint Thomas, noted, “Anyone familiar with the city and who has driven down Broadway can see the transformative effect Nashville Yards has had as a gateway to downtown. That energy and spirit drew us in to integrate health, wellness, accessibility, and community into the project.”

Southwest Value Partners is nearing the final stages of the $1 billion development. Along with the Grand Hyatt and Union Station hotels and the two Amazon towers that have already opened, five additional buildings are scheduled to debut by early next year, including the 35-story Pinnacle tower, the CAA creative office building, The Pinnacle music venue, and two residential towers.
“This project has been exciting for me for more than just today. It's been over a decade in the making,” said Mayor Freddie O’Connell. “When I was a kid growing up in Nashville, this area was known for car dealerships and repair shops. Now, it’s something extraordinary.”
