John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is a global powerhouse, handling nearly 62 million passengers annually and serving as an economic engine for the region. Supporting 280,000 jobs and generating billions in sales and wages, JFK is not just a transit hub, it's a vital cog in the world's air travel network - and because of this a $19 billion "Vision Plan" was created to transform JFK into a leader among global airports.
The JFK International Airport Redevelopment Program includes several major projects, including the construction of a new $9.5 billion Terminal One, a $4.2 billion Terminal 6 that will connect with Terminal 5, a $1.5 billion expansion of Terminal 4 led by Delta Air Lines and JFK International Air Terminal, and a $400 million expansion of Terminal 8 led by American Airlines. Additionally, the program includes the construction of a new roadway network with a pedestrian connector and rainwater harvesting facility, as well as a new ground transportation center.
Passengers can expect not only a smoother journey but also access to exciting new amenities, including a wave of premium lounges from airlines like JetBlue, Korean Air, Aer Lingus, and Capital One.
