Related Cos., led by billionaire Stephen Ross, is moving forward with the redevelopment of The Square (formerly CityPlace) in West Palm Beach.
The project involves the construction of more office towers totaling 1 million square feet. The site has been fenced off, and demolition of existing structures of AMC West Palm movie theater, the Palm Beach Improv and Comedy Club and Copper Blues Rock Pub will be torn down. Complete demolition is expected to last through the rest of 2023.
The new towers will offer amenities such as private terraces, rooftop decks, and ground-floor retail spaces. Related Cos. aims to create a vibrant and dynamic workplace within a lifestyle setting.
Construction is expected to be completed by early 2026. Pre-leasing talks are already underway, but tenant identities have not been disclosed. The development aligns with Related Cos.' successful strategy of attracting businesses relocating from urban areas during the pandemic, earning West Palm Beach the moniker "Wall Street South."
