Miami Soar 111 Land Trust, owned by David Mordekhay, has submitted a comprehensive development master plan amendment to Miami-Dade County for the redevelopment of the Soar Mobile Home Park at 8275 to 8047 N.W. First Place and 7930 to 8060 N.W. Miami Court.
The plan proposes transforming the 22-acre park into a mixed-use project featuring nearly 4,000 units and buildings up to 50 stories high. The development would include multifamily units, retail space, office space, and hotel rooms. The proposal also includes the extension of Northwest First Avenue and the creation of three acres of park space. The developer aims to create a vibrant neighborhood similar to Wynwood or Brickell. The plan would require County Commission approval, with a public hearing expected later this year. The application does not include the southern portion of the park, which falls within the city limits of Miami and could potentially be developed separately. The redevelopment of trailer parks and the densification of affordable housing neighborhoods is a growing trend in Miami-Dade.
