The Wellington Sports Academy, $38 million state-of-the-art sports facility is coming to Wellington

In Wellington, a transformative initiative is underway, spearheaded by Jon Bostic, a renowned football linebacker with the Washington Commanders. This endeavor, the Wellington Sports Academy, is set to revolutionize a previously underused park into a premier sports training hub. With a budget of $38 million, the project is on track for a groundbreaking in July and aims for completion by fall 2024.

Bostic, a Wellington native and NFL star, has been instrumental in driving this project forward. The academy, which will occupy 17.2 acres of what is currently Wellington Community Park, will feature a comprehensive array of facilities catering to various sports. The main building alone will encompass over 100,000 square feet, supplemented by a dedicated baseball and softball complex.
